Air Conditioner Pricing

Every Home in our beautiful state of Western Australia is different. This is why it’s hard without plans to put a blanket cost over a unit size and a number of outlets and say this Air Conditioner will be perfect for your home! However.. At Langler Air we’re up for the challenge and lets have a bit of a go!!

Of course the make and model of your system will be a huge determining factor in the cost (more so than the number of outlets!) and to a lesser extent, another cost factor will be how you would like to control each of the outlets airflow/air volume too.

To better explain these prices below, the lower prices are for the smaller size models, lower end of outlets, and with a standard control system installed, while the higher prices better reflect the larger model with a more Advanced Control set-up.

Big quality brands such as Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin are also going to demand a higher ticket price, while products such as Samsung, Fujitsu and Panasonic are a little cheaper while not forgoing huge quality differences.

If meeting a budget is something that is at the forefront of your mind, then Langler Air can help choose a brand that is ‘price pointed’ to suit your home and needs. There’s not a budget or home yet that Langler Air haven’t been able to sort out.

What is the difference between brands that we have seen in over 10,000 installs?

Keep in mind that while ALL systems come with a manufacturer guarantee of 5 years, the better the product you install on day one the higher the likelihood you will get double or triple that life from your selection… an extra $1000-$1500 investment today could save you $5000-$6000 in unit replacement 5-7 years down the track!!

Other considerations are control systems. Are you ok with a simple on/off operation also keep prices down? If you want to get the best out your AC unit then having a control system that allows you room by room air volume control and interfaced wi-fi accessibility, then these packages are going to set you back around an additional $800-$1000 overall.

Bigger??… Absolutely!!

Once you leave the above size ranges, you do head into a Commercial Package sizing. With over 25 years of experience at Langler Air, we always recommend that if you have a Large home and need to go down the line of 13+ outlets to gain complete coverage that its seriously time to consider 2 x separate units. You can use the above numbers to gauge cost (unfortunately x 2), however I would suggest to have a budget of $20,000 – $25,000. (There will always be installers who tell you one unit, however Air Conditioning outdoor units over 17kW account for as many noise complaints across the Perth suburbs as Pool Pumps!!) So for large units consider if your home is on a rural block or perhaps on a corner lot where neighbours are not going to be impacted, then it may be best to stay away from these monster units.

We know just for fun you want up to run the numbers anyway!!
